SkateLite - Product Design

The goal of this project was to design a product that used LED lights and simple circuitry to solve a problem. SkateLite is a removable, battery powered device that attaches to the underside of a skateboard. It uses three powerful LED's to illuminate the ground underneath and in front of the skateboard for increased safety and awareness, while riding at night or in dimly lit areas. The device is powered by two AA batteries and the outer casing is made of reinforced aluminum to ensure that the product is both durable and lightweight. Silicone injection molded pads on either side of the device help to reduce impact and vibrations while riding.
